About
My name is Dave, yup yet another Dave.
I’m from Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. Married with two kids and working as a Senior IT Developer I spend my free time mostly off-line, but I still potter about with ideas as much as always.
Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (Multiplayer game)
Initially I started out life on my 56k modem player this game and almost instantly signed up to the GDO clan by Coaxial. Spent a few days as a member before getting bored and creating my own clan.
Founder and leader (on and off hehe) of the Crazed Cahoots Company. Cobbled together one drunken night while playing EF, I signed up Coaxial off the old GDO clan and we went hunting players. Soon enough we had plenty, we weren’t too shabby and held a quite respectible record of wins over numerous other clans. Even split into European and US teams, eventually ventured into new games but soon after closed up shop and the CCC was no more. You never know, it may come back to haunt us all sooner or later
After the clan had broken apart, I did sign up with [CLF] since a couple of ex-CCC members were there. It didn’t last long though since I had several disagreements with their leader, good old Picard. Including one time where I attended training, was top of my team for all maps we played, yet didn’t get a spot on the side for the next match. Guess they didn’t trust me or something ![]()

Flippin heck Mono, did you use your magical powers to know I was thinking of every CCC members yesterday as I updated the site?!
No net connection at home right now but when I get one I’ll go hunting for you on QuakeNet
Yeah, I’ve been certified sane finally so had to drop the “Crazy”, plus can’t be as crazy anymore since I’ve got two kids now
Although I’m sure I’d be just as mad if I got back on the games

Iya our kid,
I was reading one of your posts on a Mootools forum and noticed you’re from Cardiff. Me too (Tremorfa) but I left there 40 years ago. I’ve now (semi-)retired to a farm in northern California.
I’d love to talk Moo with you some time.

Hi Mike,
Blimey, from Tremorfa to California, that’s a bit of a jump
Feel free to test my mooBrain, still quite handy with it, just don’t get much time to mess about with it lately.

Hey GG
Don’t mention phones to me, having a nightmare with phone contracts lately. Best way to get in touch is via this site really, on the comments or forums as I haven’t got any home internet access (unbelievable I know, but true).
Got married back in August and became a bio-dad in December

Hello.
I am trying to register (like a good boy) but have so far been stymied. This is the message I get:
Fatal error: Call to a member function set_prefix() on a non-object in /homepages/37/d127680942/htdocs/youmuppet.com/wp-settings.php on line 211
So am I too dumb to be allowed on a keyboard, is there some special trick or ?
The big grey area above the “Are you human?” textbox is, well, blank.
Is there something I am supposed to be seeing there? The first couple of times I tried to register I entered highly entertaining short essays on the inherent anthropological implications of the use of a certain semiotic system as prerequisite for determining the applicant(’s, s’) biological taxonomic classificatory system when such a system is not presented pre hoc.
After the first couple of tries, I entered several forms of “Yes” all to no avail.
Perhaps your system is so highly refined it can discover and politely ignore certain types of ruffians of an undetermined reputation?
I like Stranded2 and am trying to find hints on avoiding fires in my storage box.
Thanks,
Roy

Howdy. I have the same problem as Mr. Gathercoal above. I also have the same sort of reason for registration, namely Stranded 2. I suppose my email address is visible to you, though the machine promises me it won’t be published. Anyhoo, I really appreciated the guide you made, and I’m glad you left out some of the cheekier items for me to discover on my own.
Peace,
Jimbo
