In case anyone is wondering why all my posts disappeared, I’m giving up on good old wordpress.  It’s been fun using it and yes it’s pretty well put together but I felt the need to build something for myself again.

The whole thing that got me into web development was my old clan the Crazed Cahoots Company.  After creating the clan I realised that grusome collection of players would need a website so I got building.  Thanks to Barrysworld (blimey, remember them) I started off with really really bad php code and soon got going.

Since then I’ve got stuck in a rut several times, wondering from project to project.  Using finding it hard to get interested or find the time.  Well I figured it I build something for myself the time doesn’t matter, just the what.

I really like CakePHP and it’s certainly growing on my so I decided to build my own site with it.  I’ve got quite a few bits working but need to tune it up and little and add a comments system (and something to keep the spam at bay).  When I get it up and running in a couple of weeks I’ll start blogging more about my adventures in CakePHP and ColdFusion (which I use for web applications in my job).

So stay tuned anyone who reads this blog.  Stuff really is coming
